Valhalla is a term from Norse mythology that is defined by Merriam-Webster as a place of honor, glory, and happiness. Our Viking Family strives to build a community of excellence where this honor, glory, and happiness is experienced by all of our students. We truly believe in striving for excellence in everything. Academically, Northgate follows a longstanding tradition of high performance that is achieved by providing rigor and relevance throughout our classrooms, thus preparing Vikings for postsecondary success. Northgate fine arts and athletics also follow the same tradition of excellence that is reflected in region and state titles, as well as alumni who leave Valhalla to perform at both collegiate and professional levels.
